Briefly describe the mission and objectives of your organization.

Allstate empowers people with protection to help them achieve their hopes and dreams. One way we do this is by improving communities. For 32 years, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® has recognized 22 college football players and one honorary head coach annually for their community service and philanthropy. These players are chosen from over 55,000 student-athletes. Some of them have mentored children, fed the hungry, made donations, and even started their own nonprofits. The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members also take part in Good Works Day, a yearly community service event in New Orleans.

What motivated your organization to engage in a partnership with Son of a Saint?

Son of a Saint perfectly fits with our commitment to improve communities. The Allstate Foundation and the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team partnered with Son of a Saint on a few initiatives over the years. For the past two years, we selected Son of a Saint to help organize Good Works Day, our annual community event in New Orleans. These events have focused on the importance of mentorship, recreation, and camaraderie through meaningful moments that inspire the mentees.
